Kelly Brighton has performed from the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios in Los Angeles to The White House in Washington, D.C. A seasoned vocalist, Kelly's pop/soul sound has led him to varied venues and genres. He was lead singer for "Avanti", an original band that last performed at Johnny Depp's Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard. He was featured with Davis Gaines (L.A.'s Phantom of the Opera) in concert, and on Teri DeSario's Grammy nominated disc, Voices In The Wind. Brighton has worked as a songwriter for Sparrow Records, (Deniece Williams label.) He has performed with Los Angeles Civic Light Opera and New York City Opera, and Grease Tony winner, conductor/producer John McDaniel. Kelly is currently producing music projects with Jim West (composer and lead guitarist for Grammy winner “Weird Al” Yankovic.)
Brighton has studied at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, CBS Film Industry Workshop, UCLA Musical Comedy Workshop, private voice with Richard Loring (Robert Goulet's vocal coach,) Delores Stevens (renowned concert pianist and Grammy nominating-committee member, and acting with Wendell Burton (of Sterile Cuckoo with Liza Minelli and Broadway’s You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.) He is Director of the Hermosa Beach Players with the Hermosa Arts Foundation. Kelly was founding Director/Member of The Hope Players, an 8 member original musical-sketch-comedy troupe which enjoyed a successful 4 year run. Kelly toured the United States for a year with "Jeremiah People" on the college circuit.
