Biography
Kelly Brighton is an accomplished Actor, Vocalist, Composer/Lyricist, Producer/Arranger and Writer.
Kelly is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association. He is repped by the Booked Talent Agency for Commercial and Theatrical.
Brighton is known for his work in L.A. Theatre and the L.A. Studio Recording scene.
Music
Kelly is working on various projects with producer Stephan Oberhoff. Stephan recently produced Jason Gould (Barbra Streisand’s son) with Grammy-winning Quincy Jones.
Kelly is currently producing music with Grammy-nom Jim West, composer and lead guitarist for Grammy-winning “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Kelly has performed/recorded with Grammy-winning producer John Hill, Tony-winning Broadway Conductor John McDaniel, Steven Spielberg's Tata Vega, and Eddie Murphy's The Busboys. He has recorded with band members of Michael Jackson, Melissa Manchester and Brenda Russell to name a few.
Brighton has worked as a songwriter for Sparrow Records, Deniece Williams’ label. He is an active member of the SAG-AFTRA Singers. Kelly was featured on Teri DeSario's Grammy nominated Voices In The Wind. He was lead singer for Avanti, an original Pop/RnB band that last performed at The Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard.
A Pop/Soul Artist, Kelly's music is available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and many digital music platforms. He recently released his new Dance single, Shake That Thang Thang to great response.
Acting
Kelly was a featured member of Matt Damon’s Nike Staff in the hit movie, Air, directed by Ben Affleck.
He’ll be seen in the upcoming bio pic of Michael Jackson, Michael. He plays a Channel 7 News Photographer.
He can be seen in the T.V. series, Quantum Leap, Fatal Attraction, Presumed Innocent and Minx to name a few.
Kelly was featured in ABC sitcoms Dr. Ken and Room For Two. He was seen recently in the popular Geico commercial about Alexander Graham Bell.
He was featured with Davis Gaines, L.A.'s Phantom of the Opera, in concert at Universal Studios. He has performed with L.A. Civic Light Opera, San Francisco Civic Light Opera, L.A. Opera and AFI, the American Film Institute.
Kelly is a proud member of DOMA Theatre Company. Directed by Wicked Broadway Producer, Marco Gomez, Kelly starred as Pontius Pilate in their sold-out run of Jesus Christ Superstar at The Met in Hollywood. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical by L.A. Theatre critic, Rob Stevens, for the Robby Awards in this extended production.
In DOMA’s hit musical, Dorian’s Descent, Kelly starred as hedonistic aristocrat Henry Wotton, leading Dorian Grey into debauchery. The Original Cast Album is on iTunes.
Kelly co-starred in the sold-out run of The Baker’s Wife at Actor’s Co-op. Directed by L.A. Ovation Award winner Richard Israel, Kelly was the dogmatic Teacher in this rarely seen Stephen Schwartz musical.
Kelly has performed in venues from the Dorothy Chandler at the L.A. Music Center, all across the U.S. to the White House in Washington D.C..
Original Musical Comedy: Kiss, Me Quick!
Kelly has written a new Musical Comedy, Kiss, Me Quick! Writing the music and lyrics, he co-wrote the book with his scriptwriting partner, Jane Stuart.
